Free Spoken Word Event at HOME, Manchester

Wednesday 6 December

 

To celebrate the release of BRAKES, a selection of young spoken word artists from Young Identity will be performing works about love and relationships after the 18.15 screening of the film in the cafe-bar on Wednesday 6 December between 20.30 - 21.30.

 

Young Identity (YI) at Commonword is a spoken word collective formed in Manchester, YI have performed all over the UK, from the Southbank in London to the West Yorkshire Playhouse and even in America’s Nuyorican Poetry Café. We are currently funded by a grant from the Big Lottery’s Reaching Communities Fund and work in partnership with Commonword, Contact, HOME and Manchester Library Services.

 

The event is free and all are welcome! Please be aware Brakes is a 15 rated film.
